Solarize Essex is a localized campaign sponsored by Solarize CT. In 2014 Essex held its Solarize event which helped residents get connected with solar installers to learn if their home was a good fit for solar. Residents can still participate though the event has ended by visiting the Solarize CT website.
The Cozzolino array was installed as part of the Solarize Essex event and has been very successful. The array is able to power the entire house from solar alone. On October 17, 2015, an open house was held at the Cozzolino house to show the public how successful solar can be and allow residents to tour a home completely powered by an array.
